Oh Christmas Tree!

We passed the Thanksgiving mark and are officially into the magic time frame where christmas music is acceptable, glitter is a plenty and hot cocoa is a must! Monday was our first day of Christmas based activities. We found all of our Christmas books, started on our Borax Snowflakes (I will post about this soon) and of course did a little painting project with the holidays in mind. Check out our toilet paper trees with fingerprint lights/bulbs. This activity was done with little guidance from me, unlike our thankful fingerprint trees. I pulled out a variety of circle items to paint with and let the kids go to town with the green paint. I did mention we were making trees and to try to make more circles at the bottom and less at the top, and to make it like a triangle. Those hints were all they needed. The trees were beautiful, a little abstract but beautiful! They added red fingerprints when the green had dried a bit and then yellow stars to the top.DSCN1382 DSCN1383 DSCN1385 DSCN1386
